Blog Hop
Welcome to our stamp of the month blog hop. A blog hop is just one big loop of fun, creative ideas. Glad you could join us today. If you are coming from Laurens's blog you're on the right path. If you are starting here, just look for the link to Krista's blog at the end of my post. Each blog you visit will feature a link to continue following the hop. If you get disconnected somewhere along the way, you can find a complete list of blog hop participants here.
This month's stamp set, For the Love of Crafting, features 9 fun stamps and is available only through the month of August. You can purchase this set for $17.95, or get it for only $5 with a qualifying order of $50 (US) through your Close To My Heart consultant or here.
As an avid scrapbooker and stamper, this stamp will get lots of use in documenting my own crafting journey, but it will also come in handy in making up cards or gifts for my crafty friends, or even in my business. My project today, candy (Hershey Nugget) holders, will be used at my upcoming new idea book share event in September.
I made the nugget holders using Sapphire cardstock and then embellished each with paper or zip strips from the Beautiful Friendship paper packet. I stamped the images on White Daisy Cardstock with Sapphire ink and added other embellishments listed below. Wrapped Hershey Nuggets will go in the front pocket and my business cards, a little CTMH gift, coupons, and tickets for prizes will go in the back pocket for each of the attendees. (measurements for the nugget holders are at the end of this post if you are interested in making some yourself.)
Let's take a closer look at each one of the nugget holders.
Flowers on these holders are from the Flower Market
Cricut Collection.
I added extra dots around the heart shape
with a ShinHan marker.
Some of the flowers on this one are fussy cut
from the paper in this pack.
I used the Gold Shimmer Brush around the edges
of the saying here.
Hopefully from this angle you can see the
gold sparkly letter fill from the Gold Shimmer Brush.
The stamping on this is with Memento Black ink so
as not to run when filled in with the shimmer brush.

Memento Ink was used for this along with the
Gold Shimmer Pen.

of the holder.

Directions for the nugget holder:
Cardstock 8 x 4
- Score along the 8 inch side at 1", 1 1/2", 3", 4", 5" 6 1/2", 7"
- Turn and score on the 4 inch side at 1/2" and 3 1/2"
Fold in half - put adhesive only in the center inside down to the second fold line
Note the trimming directions
Here is a view of the first side when side flaps are folded and glued in place.
Be sure to use a strong adhesive (liquid or red line tape type)
to adhere the sides so they won't pop out when you
fill the nugget holder.
Start embellishing the nugget holder.
These are fairly sketchy directions, but hopefully it gives you some idea of what to do. They really are pretty easy. If you have questions, please contact me or ask questions in the comments below.
