Welcome!
Glad you could join us today! A blog hop is just one big loop of fun and creative ideas. So if you're joining me here, grab your beverage of choice, and sit back ready to be inspired by creative ideas for using this new Close To My Heart stamp of the month. If you are coming here from Stefani's Blog , you are on the right path. At the end of this post you will see a link to Wendy's blog for you to continue following the hop.
The stamp of the month, You Warm My Heart, is a set of 20 stamps that will be especially great for both making cards and creating scrapbook pages. As always, I'm sure as you go through this hop, you'll see lots of creative and fun ideas for using this stamp set.
For my project this month, I used this stamp set to prepare a December page for my granddaughter's annual scrapbook -- since cocoa with marshmallows or whipped cream is a favorite, it seemed like a natural for her.
Note the wood grain paper on the sides of this layout from the Wood Grain paper pack (one of my favorites) found in the annual catalog. Other papers used were French Vanilla cardstock for the bases, Evergreen cardstock, and the Scarlet paper from the Comfort and Joy paper pack. Inks used were Intense Black, Scarlet, and Evergreen.
Let's take a closer look at the whipped cream and marshmallows. With a little help from the Tri-blend Spectrum Noir markers, they look pretty fluffy. We can also see the spatter I put in the corners using a clear Shimmer Brush and Evergreen ink.
On this close-up, we can see the design I created on a zip strip using a stamp from this set. On Evergreen cardstock, we can see the tone on tone pattern I created using two other small detail stamps from this set.
You Warm My Heart is available only through the month of October. After seeing all the great ideas in this blog hop, you're going to want to add this to your stamp collection.
